Position Summary


Omega Green Power Corporation, DBA Duracell Power Center, is seeking an experienced Technical Support Manager to lead the technical support function for our residential battery energy storage and microinverter products. This position serves as the senior technical resource for customers, installers, distributors, and internal teams by providing advanced troubleshooting, product support, laboratory testing, and engineering collaboration.


This is a remote position requiring frequent travel to customer installations and project sites to support commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and field issue resolution. Periodic travel to the company's headquarters in San Jose, California, is also required for product validation, training, engineering collaboration, and strategic planning.








Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Serve as the lead technical resource for Tier II and Tier III customer support.

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for residential battery energy storage systems and microinverter products.

  • Travel frequently to customer job sites to support installations, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and field service activities.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to investigate and resolve product issues.

  • Perform laboratory testing, product validation, failure analysis, and quality assurance evaluations.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge base articles.

  • Analyze field performance and identify opportunities for product, process, and customer support improvements.

  • Provide technical guidance and training to customers, distributors, installers, and internal personnel.

  • Support new product launches by validating performance and documenting field readiness.

  • Maintain detailed technical reports and communicate findings to leadership and engineering teams.

  • Travel periodically to Omega Green Power's headquarters in San Jose, California, for engineering meetings, product testing, training, and company initiatives.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.






Minimum Qualifications



  • Minimum of 3–5 years of technical support, field service engineering, applications engineering, or related experience within the solar, battery storage, or power electronics industry.

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Residential and commercial battery energy storage systems

  • Solar inverters and microinverters

  • Electrical troubleshooting

  • System commissioning and diagnostics

  • Residential photovoltaic (PV) installations

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and communication issues.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel by air.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Renewable Energy, or a related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.

Additional qualifications:



  • NABCEP certification or equivalent renewable energy certification.

  • Spanish language proficiency.

  • Experience supporting installers, distributors, or field service organizations.






Physical Requirements



  • Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

  • Ability to work safely around energized electrical equipment.

  • Ability to climb ladders, work outdoors, and access residential and commercial installation sites when necessary.

  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience.
