Job Description

5 days/week in Stamford office

USC or GC preferred

This individual will join a Treasury team and take ownership of delivery, business analysis, prioritization and cross-functional coordination across a portfolio of workstreams spanning financing, margin, cash management, and operational controls.

This individual will operate at the intersection of business and technology - translating complex Treasury requirements into structured plans, driving delivery through engineering teams, and producing executive-quality materials for senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a background in delivering technology solutions within a hedge fund, asset manager, or capital markets environment. What matters is the toolkit: structured thinking, comfort with ambiguity, strong written communication, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams independently.

This is not a passive coordination role. You will own plans end-to-end, draft business requirements, challenge assumptions and drive outcomes across business and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Product Management & Business Analysis

  • Draft detailed business requirements documents for Engineering across Treasury workstreams (financing, margin, cash, cost reporting)

  • Build prototype applications with AI tooling to challenge assumptions and validate use cases

  • Define acceptance criteria, test plans, and validation approaches for system implementations

  • Conduct data analysis to support decision-making. For example: reconciliations, cost analysis and variance reporting

  • Lead UAT and production testing by writing test plans, defining success criteria, validating data feeds and coordinating sign-off

Product Management & PMO

  • Draft, maintain, update and own multiple project plans in Jira, coordinating across business and engineering

  • Run biweekly sprint prioritization and backlog grooming sessions with engineering teams

  • Produce and maintain weekly status reporting via automated decks, metrics and risk/blocker tracking

  • Manage ticket lifecycles across multiple Jira projects, ensuring work is properly scoped, prioritized and closed out

  • Own the cadence - scheduling, follow-ups, dependency tracking and escalations

Governance & Reporting

  • Produce monthly health checks and governance reporting for senior leadership

  • Prepare materials for annual and 3-year plans

  • Process budget change requests and coordinate with Procurement and Finance

  • Draft and maintain ad-hoc executive materials - decks, updates and counterparty packs

What makes a great candidate?

  • Bias to action, delivers results rather than waiting for perfect information

  • AI-native: uses AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, LLMs) as naturally as Excel or PowerPoint

  • Hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, asset management or sell-side Treasury/portfolio finance background

  • Understanding of capital markets operations: stock loan, financing, margin and cash management

  • Consulting background or consulting-style structured problem solving, or equivalent in-house delivery experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in a Product Management or Business Analyst role

  • 3+ years delivering technology solutions within a hedge fund, asset manager, or capital markets environment

  • Experience with system implementations, both vendor and in-house

  • Strong Jira and Confluence proficiency

  • Technical skills: SQL, AI prototypes
