• Engineer solutions that balance functionality, manufacturability, and durability for extreme environments.

• Iteratively explore concept ideas through visualization and physical interactions while collaborating with the design team using sketching, digital illustration, 3D CAD and renderings, hand-built physical mock-ups, and 3D prints

• Refine concept designs into 3D parametric CAD, including the definition of part break-up with consideration for manufacturing and assembly

• Perform engineering tasks and assignments independently and at the direction of senior engineers

• Collaborate on all new product development activities to generate innovative concepts and solutions for product fit, form and function.

• Research, understand, and ensure that the product and its associated mechanical components meets relevant safety and compliance standards

• Plan, execute and document engineering validation tests

• Troubleshoot product and manufacturing defects to determine root cause of failures

• Create and maintain Product Documentation such as assembly instructions, drawings, databases, Engineering Change Orders, etc.

• Design lower complexity components and systems independently, and higher complexity components and systems with limited supervision
