About the Opportunity


A growing manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems, customer satisfaction, and supplier performance. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of quality investigations, corrective actions, supplier quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a highly visible manufacturing environment.


The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional who enjoys working directly with production teams, solving problems at the root cause, and driving issues through resolution.


What You'll Be Doing



  • Investigate customer complaints, quality issues, and non-conformances

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities (CAPA)

  • Partner with suppliers to address quality concerns and improve performance

  • Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections

  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation

  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with quality standards

  • Analyze quality metrics and identify improvement opportunities

  • Work closely with Operations and Engineering to implement corrective actions

  • Support containment activities and shop-floor quality initiatives


What We're Looking For


Required Qualifications



  • 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience leading root cause investigations and corrective actions

  • Knowledge of supplier quality and customer quality processes

  • Experience working within ISO-certified manufacturing environments

  • Proficiency with quality documentation, reporting, and problem-solving tools

  • Experience using inspection and measurement equipment, including:

  • Calipers

  • Micrometers

  • Gauges

  • Comparators

  • Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills

  • Ability to independently manage and close quality-related issues


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline

  • Experience working directly with customers and suppliers

  • Experience writing quality procedures and work instructions

  • Manufacturing quality experience in metal fabrication, assembly, industrial products, or related industries

  • Exposure to union manufacturing environments
