Job Title: Flight Test Equipment & Asset Specialist

Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)

Job Type: (6-Month Duration)

Shift: 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM) or 2nd Shift (1:30 PM – 10:00 PM)

Pay Rate: $60/hr on W2


Position Summary

We are seeking an Engineering Technical Specialist 3 to manage and support Flight Test asset management and operations in Seattle, WA. This role involves tracking engineering assets, ensuring compliance with tools and standards, database administration, and assisting with physical equipment movement and data handling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Flight Test Asset Management: Manage, store, track, and relocate over 11,000 Flight Test equipment assets.
  • Database & Documentation: Handle record database management, collect performance metrics, and distribute engineering documentation.
  • Equipment Lifecycle: Restock and relocate test equipment during refurbishment; surplus obsolete or damaged items.
  • Data Logistics: Collect DAR media directly from aircraft and transport it safely to the data logging station (TDRS).
  • Compliance & Support: Follow company engineering standards, system interoperability rules, and configuration management practices under minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience, Master’s with 4+ years, or 10+ years of equivalent related work experience.
  • Core Skills: Strong background in data entry and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling up to 35 lbs, and remaining on feet for extended periods.
  • Work Schedule: Flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift and willing to work overtime as required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test asset management, metrology, or calibrated measurement and test equipment (M&TE) in an engineering test environment.
  • Degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or Metrology.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, project management, and aerospace industry standards.
  • Working knowledge of export and dangerous goods shipping rules.
