Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and applications, focusing on clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Day-to-day tasks include implementing new features, fixing bugs, writing unit and integration tests, and participating in code reviews. The role also involves collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to refine requirements, improve system architecture, and ensure performance, security, and reliability. The Software Engineer is expected to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate progress clearly in a distributed team environment.
Qualifications
  • Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
  • Experience with Back-End Web Development and Software Development, focusing on APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
  • Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code, including experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize applications in a remote, collaborative environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage part-time schedules responsibly.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, containers, or CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
