Accountant, Management Company (Global Hedge Fund)

Our client, a leading global hedge fund, seeks a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional to join its Management Company Accounting team within Financial Operations. The team owns the books, financial reporting, and control environment for the firm’s U.S. and international management companies. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of recurring close, reporting, and regulatory processes while helping to modernize the function through generative AI and automation.

What you’ll do day-to-day

• Manage recurring monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.


• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reporting for the team and firm leadership, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.


• Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements and related filings.


• Contribute to the design and adoption of generative AI and automation tools to make close, reporting, and regulatory workflows more efficient and reliable.


• Partner with colleagues across Financial Operations and Legal & Compliance to research questions, address reporting needs, and improve processes.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally within alternative asset management, financial services, or public accounting,


• Active CPA required


• Solid understanding of core accounting concepts and the recurring close and reporting cycle.


• A forward-looking mindset toward generative AI and automation, with genuine interest in applying new tools to everyday work.
