Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Heavy Equipment Operator based in San Diego, CA. The Heavy Equipment Operator will manage and operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders for excavation and grading projects. Responsibilities include performing equipment inspections and maintenance, ensuring proper and safe equipment use, and coordinating with team members to meet project objectives. The operator will work under safety protocols and guidelines to ensure efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and other machinery


• Experience in equipment maintenance to ensure longevity and operational efficiency


• Knowledge of excavation techniques and processes


• Familiarity with handling and operating used equipment


• Strong attention to safety procedures and regulations


• Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications


• Certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus


• Physical ability to work in outdoor environments and perform manual labor when needed


• Previous experience in construction or similar fields is advantageous
