About CULTIVA
CULTIVA Global Solutions is a Washington, DC-based, HUBZone-certified small business that helps federal agencies run their programs well, from administrative and travel operations to research, training, and program management. We hold GSA Multiple Award Schedule and OASIS+ contracts. We are a small team, so your work is visible and you help shape how the company grows. Residents of HUBZone areas are encouraged to apply.
The role
Travelers at a federal agency rely on this role every day. You will be the first person its staff, senior executives, and approving officials turn to for help with GO.gov, the government-wide travel system. You will help them prepare and submit travel authorizations and vouchers, fix profile and routing problems, troubleshoot before issues reach the help desk, and keep trips on schedule. You will work on-site with the agency's travel office and CULTIVA's Program/Project Manager.
What you will do
- Provide first-line GO.gov support to travelers and approving officials: travel authorizations, reservations, vouchers, and amendments
- Resolve profile, routing, and approval-chain problems; troubleshoot before escalating to the help desk; open tickets and track them to closure
- Support domestic and international trips for staff and executives, including passport and visa coordination with the travel office
- Run training sessions and office hours, and keep user guides, quick-reference sheets, and standard operating procedures current
- Track issues and trends and report them to the travel office and CULTIVA leadership
- Support the travel office's budget and administrative work as needed
Building CULTIVA
Everyone at CULTIVA helps build the company, not only the contract they support. In this role you will also:
- Capture lessons learned and better ways of working, within the client's confidentiality rules, to sharpen CULTIVA's methods
- Help document results for CULTIVA's past-performance records, as the client permits
- Help recruit and onboard new teammates, and help make CULTIVA a place people want to stay
What you bring
- 3 or more years supporting travel, administrative, or financial operations, including hands-on use of a federal e-travel system (GO.gov, ConcurGov, E2 Solutions, or DTS) or Concur Travel and Expense
- A record of showing up: this role is on-site five days a week, and the client counts on you being there
- Fast, reliable follow-through: travelers and executives get an answer or a status update the same business day
- Calm, firm customer service with everyone from new staff to senior executives
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), plus Adobe and SharePoint or OneDrive
- Discretion with travel records and personal information
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Ability to complete, after a conditional offer, the client's background check and suitability process (fingerprinting and a records check), and to sign a non-disclosure agreement before starting
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree
- GO.gov experience, or experience helping users through a move from one travel system to another
- Working knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation
- Experience writing training materials or user guides
- Microsoft Office Specialist certification
Location and schedule
- On-site in downtown Washington, DC, Monday through Friday. You will work an eight-hour day within core hours of 7 am to 6 pm ET, with some flexibility. Any telework is at the client's discretion. CULTIVA provides your laptop, and you will reach client systems through a virtual desktop.
Pay and benefits
- Salary: $68,000 to $75,000 a year, depending on experience. Full-time, salaried.
- Medical: CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield PPO through DC Health Link, with dependent coverage available
- Dental and vision through Guardian
- $50,000 basic term life insurance through Guardian
- 401(k) through payroll deduction, plus health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts
- 10 days of paid time off a year (up to 40 hours carry over) and 10 paid holidays
- DC Paid Family Leave coverage and Learning access
- Insurance coverage starts the first of the month after your start date
