Project Manager - Drinking Water

Location: Chicago, IL

A well established engineering consultancy in Chicago is seeking an experienced project manager to join their team. The company is entering an exciting period of growth within the water infrastructure sector, and is looking for an individual to play a key role in shaping the teams continued success across a range of upcoming projects.

This is a lead role suited to an experienced water professional who will take lead on significant drinking water projects, work directly with key clients, influence project strategy, develop the team around them and contribute to growing the wider business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead drinking water and water treatment projects from planning through design and delivery


• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, and overall performance


• Act as a key point of contact for clients, municipalities, agencies, and project stakeholders


• Provide technical direction to project teams and support quality assurance throughout project delivery


• Contribute to proposals, fee development, project pursuits, and wider business development


• Mentor and support the development of engineers and technical staff

Qualifications required:

• Registered PE licence in the state of Illinois


• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or any relevant field

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience delivering drinking water projects with a work across water treatment, water supply or water storage design


• 2+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary projects and leading project teams


• Strong technical understanding of drinking water infrastructure and design


• Strength managing client relationships and working with project stakeholders


• Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills with a willingness to mentor and develop others

Compensation:

• Up to $155,000 base salary
