Job Description

Seeking 2 detail-oriented Pharmacy Technicians to join our Seattle team. Hiring for one Data Entry / Prescription Processing Technician and one Compounding Pharmacy Technician.


This is a full-time day shift (8 hr day shift somewhere between 7am-6pm, no Saturdays) opportunity for technicians who value accuracy, professionalism, and a patient-centered pharmacy environment. Whether your background is in prescription intake and processing or hands-on compounding, you will play an important role in delivering timely, high-quality pharmacy services.


Data Entry / Prescription Processing: Accurate prescription intake, patient and insurance data entry, refill coordination, billing support, and workflow management.


Compounding: Preparation of compounded medications under pharmacist supervision, with a strong focus on procedural discipline, documentation, safety, and quality.


Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities will vary based on the individual role and candidate experience and may include:
  • Entering, reviewing, and processing prescription information accurately and efficiently
  • Confirming patient demographics, prescription details, insurance information, and refill requests
  • Supporting prescription fulfillment, labeling, packaging, inventory, and pharmacy workflow
  • Communicating professionally with patients, prescribers’ offices, pharmacists, and internal team members
  • Maintaining complete, accurate, and compliant electronic and pharmacy records
  • Preparing compounded medications under pharmacist supervision and according to established procedures, where applicable
  • Following required quality-control, safety, cleaning, documentation, and inventory-management processes
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, professional, and patient-focused work environment
  • Identifying and escalating prescription, workflow, quality, or documentation issues appropriately


Qualifications

  • Active Washington Pharmacy Technician credential, as required for the position
  • Prior pharmacy technician experience in prescription processing, data entry, retail, specialty, mail-order, fulfillment, or compounding is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency with pharmacy systems, electronic documentation, and data-entry workflows
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy support staff
  • PTCB certification is preferred
  • For compounding-focused candidates: prior sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience is strongly preferred
