Sustainability Manager

Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find a talented Data Management Specialist to support sustainability reporting and data operations for a global leader in e-commerce and technology. This role is ideal for professionals with strong data management, database, enterprise reporting, and ESG/sustainability experience who enjoy working cross-functionally, managing detailed data workstreams, and ensuring accurate, auditable reporting.

Job Title: ESG/Sustainability Data Management Specialist (sustainability reporting program)

Location: Hybrid – Seattle or Bellevue, WA (One day a week onsite).

Duration: 12+ months(possible extension)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Define, configure, and maintain metrics within internal reporting systems.


• Drive end-to-end data collection campaigns across cross-functional teams.


• Track data submissions, reporting deadlines, and workstream progress.


• Manage escalations related to data gaps, discrepancies, and non-responsive stakeholders.


• Partner closely with controllership teams to support data validation, audit trails, and controls.


• Maintain and enhance database structures while ensuring data integrity and consistency.


• Prepare, reconcile, and perform quality checks on reporting data.


• Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and data dictionaries.


• Identify data quality issues and process improvement opportunities.


• Communicate data requests, issues, status updates, and timelines to stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills

• 3+ years of experience in data management, database administration, data analysis, or related areas.


• Experience with Workiva or a similar enterprise reporting platform.


• Strong database management experience handling large volumes of data.


• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.


• Experience with ESG, sustainability, financial reporting, or related data.


• Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks and data requirements.


• Strong data quality, validation, reconciliation, and documentation experience.


• Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent workstreams.


• Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Asana.


• Experience in controllership, internal audit, or audit-adjacent data management.


• Experience with sustainability reporting or corporate responsibility programs.


• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, or master data management frameworks.


• Experience working in a large, global enterprise environment.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business, Sustainability, or a related field.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $42.00 - $46.50 Hourly on W2.
