Level: Investment Banking Senior Analyst / Associate

Location: NYC or Miami

Compensation: $300 - $600k all in

Our client is a highly regarded independent investment bank providing M&A and strategic financial advisory services to businesses across the Business Services and Engineering sectors. The firm advises founders, private equity sponsors, and corporate clients on transactions that shape businesses and create long-term value.

This is an opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility within a collaborative, entrepreneurial team. You will gain direct client exposure, work closely with experienced senior bankers, and contribute across the full transaction lifecycle on high-profile middle-market deals.

Key Responsibilities

• Build financial models and perform valuation analyses to support M&A transactions and strategic advisory engagements.


• Develop compelling transaction materials, including pitch books, Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), and management presentations.


• Analyze financial statements, business performance, and market trends to inform transaction strategy.


• Support live deal execution, coordinating due diligence and managing transaction workstreams.


• Conduct company and industry research, comparable company analyses, and precedent transaction analyses.


• Work directly with senior bankers and clients throughout the transaction process.


• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a supportive, high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of investment banking experience, with meaningful exposure to M&A execution.


• Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into clear, persuasive materials.


• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


• A proactive, collaborative approach and an interest in taking ownership of your work.


• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; an MBA or master’s degree is a plus.


• Experience in Business Services or Engineering is welcome, although candidates with relevant M&A experience across other sectors are encouraged to apply.
