Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector to support finishing operations in a manufacturing environment. This role will perform in-process inspections, verify product quality, identify defects, and ensure compliance with SOPs and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and 100% visual inspections of finished and computerized materials.
  • Follow established SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality Assurance standards.
  • Identify and reject defective labels according to quality requirements.
  • Operate and monitor finishing equipment, including tabletop rewind and Rotoflex systems.
  • Perform roll slitting, rewinding, run monitoring, and run close-out activities.
  • Operate the Label Vision System, including setup and monitoring.
  • Perform start-up and restart verifications for computerized production runs.
  • Accurately count and verify labels against required quantities.
  • Support label reprint activities, including defect identification and reprint file generation.
  • Release inspected materials that meet quality standards for further processing or shipping.
  • Assist with packaging, shrink wrapping, material ID tags, and boxing of finished labels.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new In-Process Inspectors.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, production, or a similar environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
  • Ability to accurately follow SOPs and written work instructions.
  • Experience with visual inspection and quality control processes.
  • Strong ability to count, verify, document, and communicate quality information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.


Preferred Experience

  • Label inspection or packaging experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing/finishing equipment.
  • Experience with vision inspection systems.
  • Experience working with computerized production processes.
