Role Description The Child and Family Therapist is responsible for providing outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families in a hybrid arrangement based in Trinity, FL, with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include conducting intake assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing individual, family, and play-based therapy tailored to each client’s needs. The therapist will maintain detailed clinical documentation, coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, and community agencies, and participate in case consultations and team meetings. Additional responsibilities include crisis intervention as needed, adherence to ethical and regulatory standards, and ongoing professional development to ensure the use of current, evidence-based practices.


Qualifications



  • Demonstrated skills in Play Therapy and Working With Children in clinical settings.

  • Background in Social Work and Case Management to support families and coordinate services.

  • Strong foundation in Mental Health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for children and adolescents.

  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field; active or eligible state licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC) preferred.

  • Ability to build rapport with diverse children and families, maintain professional boundaries, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including accurate clinical documentation and timely record-keeping.

  • Comfort with using electronic health records and telehealth platforms in a hybrid work environment.

  • Experience in trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, or school-based collaboration is beneficial.
