Real Estate / Real Estate Finance Associate -- Multiple Metro Markets

A nationally recognized, AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking a mid-level to senior associate to join its growing Real Estate and Real Estate Finance practice. While this posting is listed under New York, the firm is actively hiring across multiple major markets, including New York, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Kansas City, and St. Louis, and is open to candidates based in or willing to relocate to any of these metro areas.

Interested candidates should have excellent academic credentials, solid law firm or clerking experience, and superior research, writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ideal candidates will bring 2 to 6 years of broad transactional real estate and/or real estate finance experience, which may include:

• Representing lenders and/or borrowers in the origination, refinancing, and restructuring of large, structured commercial real estate finance transactions


• Mezzanine loans, preferred equity financings, warehouse lending structures, and CRE repurchase ("repo") facilities


• Loan sales, assignments, and note-on-note transactions, including single-asset and portfolio/revolving structures


• Asset management and workout experience


• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financing documents, and managing due diligence and all aspects of transaction closings


• Acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development agreements, leasing, and property management agreements


• Title and survey review; data center development experience is a plus
