Role Description The Retail Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Dole Plantation in Wahiawa, HI. This position oversees daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and visual merchandising. The manager leads and schedules the retail team, provides coaching and feedback, and ensures excellent customer service for guests from around the world. Duties include monitoring sales performance, implementing promotions, maintaining store cleanliness and safety standards, and aligning the retail experience with Dole Plantation’s brand and guest expectations. The role also involves coordinating with other departments, resolving customer issues, and preparing basic reports on sales, staffing, and inventory.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in retail management or supervisory roles, preferably in a high-traffic tourist or hospitality environment.


• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse guests and team members.


• Proficiency in basic business operations, including cash handling, point-of-sale systems, inventory control, and scheduling.


• Ability to lead, train, and motivate staff, foster a collaborative team culture, and manage performance constructively.


• Attention to detail in merchandising, store presentation, and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.


• Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site environment, with flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak tourism periods.


• Basic analytical skills for reviewing sales data and operational reports and making informed decisions to improve results.


• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, retail management, or hospitality is a plus.


• Minimum of Five years of retail management experience is required. Experience in high volume stores is preferable.


• Knowledge of or interest in Hawaii’s culture and tourism industry is beneficial.
