Landscape Enhancement Sales & Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Enhancement Sales & Estimator to identify, estimate, and sell enhancement projects for residential landscape clients. This role is responsible for developing project opportunities, preparing accurate estimates and proposals, and guiding clients from the initial conversation through project handoff.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of residential landscaping, excellent sales and relationship-building skills, and the ability to accurately estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sell landscape enhancement projects to new and existing residential clients.


• Meet with homeowners to understand their goals, budget, and property needs.


• Identify enhancement opportunities during property visits and client meetings.


• Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, scopes of work, and pricing.


• Perform site measurements and material takeoffs.


• Estimate labor, plant material, hardscape, irrigation, drainage, lighting, and other project costs.


• Present proposals and follow up with clients to close projects.


• Maintain an active sales pipeline and track opportunities through completion.


• Coordinate with operations and production teams to ensure a smooth handoff of sold projects.


• Build strong relationships with clients to generate repeat and referral business.


• Monitor project pricing and margins to ensure profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in landscape sales, estimating, account management, or a related role.


• Strong knowledge of residential landscape construction and enhancement work.


• Experience estimating labor, materials, equipment, and project costs.


• Proven ability to sell projects and build relationships with homeowners.


• Knowledge of plant material, irrigation, drainage, hardscape, lighting, and landscape installation.


• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.


• Comfortable managing multiple estimates and sales opportunities simultaneously.


• Experience with landscape estimating or CRM software is preferred.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven salesperson who also understands the operational side of landscaping. They can walk a residential property, recognize opportunities, develop an accurate scope and estimate, confidently present the project to the homeowner, and close profitable enhancement work.
