Role Description This full-time Optometrist role is an on-site position based in Nashville, TN. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide pre- and post-operative care in collaboration with other eye care professionals. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, conducting diagnostic testing, interpreting clinical findings, and documenting care in the practice’s records system. The role involves educating patients on eye health, treatment options, and preventive care, while maintaining a high standard of customer service and professionalism. The Optometrist will also participate in practice growth activities, such as coordinating with staff, contributing to workflow improvements, and supporting community outreach as needed.

Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution and active, unrestricted optometry license (or eligibility) in the state of Tennessee.
- Proficiency in comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and contact lens fitting, with the ability to tailor care to diverse patient needs.
- Experience diagnosing and managing common ocular conditions (e.g., dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration) and providing co-management for surgical patients when appropriate.
- Strong clinical documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills, with attention to accuracy, compliance, and privacy standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain clinical findings and treatment plans in clear, patient-friendly language.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, front office staff, and other clinicians to support efficient patient flow and a positive office environment.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development; participation in continuing education and staying current with advances in optometry.
- Demonstrated reliability, professional integrity, and a patient-first mindset; experience in a private practice or clinical setting is preferred.
