Management Consultant – Program Planning & PMO


iVision Consulting is seeking a Mid-Level Management Consultant to support a large-scale Federal enterprise IT transformation initiative. Working as part of an integrated consulting team, you will support program planning, integrated scheduling, dependency management, PMO operations, quality, risk, reporting, and transition activities across multiple workstreams.


The ideal candidate is a strong consultant and problem solver who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, develop high-quality work products, and collaborate effectively with program leaders, technical teams, and Government stakeholders.




Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust.


This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days/week in Bethesda, Maryland.




What You Will Do:



  • Support development and maintenance of integrated workplans, schedules, roadmaps, milestones, and dependency maps across multiple workstreams.

  • Coordinate with workstream leads to track activities, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and milestones.

  • Support PMO operations, including action tracking, deliverable management, meeting support, and program documentation.

  • Maintain risk, issue, action, and decision logs and support escalation of items requiring leadership attention.

  • Support executive and operational reporting, including status reports, dashboards, briefings, and decision materials.

  • Support development and tracking of KPIs, SLAs, milestones, and other performance measures.

  • Perform quality assurance and deliverable reviews to ensure work products are complete, accurate, and aligned with requirements.

  • Support governance, transition planning, readiness assessments, and implementation sequencing.

  • Develop high-quality consulting work products, including presentations, analyses, schedules, trackers, and executive briefings.




What You Need:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field.

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in management consulting, program management, PMO support, project management, or business analysis.

  • Experience supporting complex programs with multiple workstreams and stakeholders.

  • Experience with integrated schedules, workplans, roadmaps, and dependency management.

  • Experience supporting PMO operations, risk management, reporting, and quality reviews.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Planner, and SharePoint.

  • Experience with tools such as ServiceNow SPM, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to develop polished work products for senior and executive stakeholders.

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.




Nice To Have:



  • Experience supporting NIH, HHS, or another Federal agency.

  • Experience with IT modernization, centralization, or transformation programs.

  • Experience developing or maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).

  • Experience with Power BI and other data visualization tools.

  • Experience supporting governance boards, steering committees, or executive leadership meetings.

  • Familiarity with quality management, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.

  • Certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, or Agile/Scrum.

  • Prior management consulting experience.




Salary:


$95,000 - $115,000 annual salary


Work Location


Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite at client location in the Bethesda, Maryland area, with remote work as permitted by the client and program requirements.
