Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer – Space Systems

We are hiring multiple Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineers to support the development, integration, and deployment of advanced test environments for spacecraft and space-based electronic systems.

Experienced engineers may work remotely.

This is a senior cross-functional engineering role spanning system test hardware, automated test infrastructure, FPGA and digital interfaces, software infrastructure, and networked laboratory environments.

These positions are focused on Space Electronics and complex engineering test environments. Strong systems engineering fundamentals combined with hands-on hardware integration and test experience are especially important.

This is a W-2 contract opportunity only. Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements are not available.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance — an active clearance is NOT required
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related science, engineering, or mathematics discipline
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience; candidates with a Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience will also be considered
• Experience with systems integration, verification, test engineering, or complex test environments
• Experience working across hardware, software, firmware/FPGA, and systems engineering disciplines
• Strong requirements analysis, interface definition, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead technical coordination and drive complex integration issues to resolution

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop, integrate, and mature advanced test environments supporting spacecraft payload development, verification, production testing, and sustainment
• Lead technical coordination across system test hardware, FPGA/firmware, software infrastructure, and systems engineering teams
• Translate payload and program requirements into test capabilities, measurement approaches, interfaces, verification methods, and test evidence
• Support rack-level test architectures, cabling, RF and digital I/O, calibration, instrumentation, and test-readiness activities
• Coordinate FPGA and digital I/O requirements across test racks, payload interfaces, data-capture paths, and timing/reference systems
• Support automated test execution, station configuration, network topology, equipment monitoring, software deployment, and test-data handling
• Identify gaps between system requirements, available test capabilities, ATP coverage, calibration approaches, and verification evidence
• Perform technical trade studies involving hardware, FPGA, software, automation, verification, schedule, cost, and risk
• Support technical reviews, proposals, BOEs, labor estimates, risks, assumptions, and execution planning
• Help drive reuse, standardization, automation, and long-term supportability across complex test environments

Experience That Can Be Especially Valuable

• Spacecraft, satellite, payload, or other high-reliability electronic systems
• Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Special Test Equipment (STE), or hardware-in-the-loop test environments
• RF test equipment, rack-level integration, instrumentation, and calibration
• FPGA development or FPGA-based hardware integration
• High-speed digital interfaces, timing/reference distribution, JESD204B, Ethernet/10GbE, or other high-speed data paths
• LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, Git, or automated instrument control
• Networked test environments, isolated instrument networks, server/workstation configuration, and networked laboratory equipment
• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized software deployment
• Requirements traceability, interface control, verification planning, ATPs, and test readiness reviews
• Proposal development, BOEs, technical volumes, labor estimates, trade studies, and risk analysis
• Technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams
