ABOUT THE ROLE




Candidates should have solid hands-on experience in brick-and-mortar retail AR settlement and tax operations. Key responsibilities include accounts receivable, fixed assets, local expenses and tax filings. Experience with tax agencies is a plus.




Key Responsibilities:





  • Assist with budget preparation and forecasting, and deliver financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

  • Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure all accounting records and procedures are compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, account reconciliations, accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP).

  • Liaise with external auditors to prepare for and coordinate annual audit activities.

  • Guarantee accurate and timely tax filings, and propose tax‑planning recommendations.

  • Analyze financial data to spot trends and potential financial risks.

  • Optimize accounting workflows and systems to boost automation and operational efficiency.

  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to provide actionable financial insights and business support.




Experience & Skills:





  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.

  • Professional accounting certification e.g. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum 5‑year working experience in accounting, taxation or financial management.

  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation capabilities.




Preferred Attributes:





  • Solid expertise in taxation, treasury management and business analysis.

  • Proficiency in Chinese as a working language is preferred.
