Corporate Accountant

Hussey Gay Bell is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Corporate Accountant with approximately 4 years of professional accounting experience to join our growing team. This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting management with financial analysis and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements


• Would report directly to Chief Financial Officer


• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes


• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis


• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls


• Work with external auditors during annual audits


• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management


• Participate in process improvement and system enhancement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• CPA or CPA eligibility preferred


• 3-5 years of progressive corporate or public accounting experience


• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Ajera, Deltek, QuickBooks, or similar)


• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines


• Strong communication and teamwork skills
