Fund Finance - Real Estate Private Equity

Position Overview:

The Senior Associate, Fund Finance will lead the financial operations of our real estate fund platform, from newly launched vehicles through the full fund lifecycle. Sitting at the center of capital activity and investor reporting, this person will be a key point of contact for our investors and a trusted partner to the investment, legal, and investor relations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own finance, accounting, and reporting for new investment vehicles and leveraged blockers as they raise capital


• Manage capital calls, distributions, and cash across funds, including preparing capital call and distribution notices, liquidity forecasting, and cash flow planning


• Apply the terms of partnership agreements and side letters to fund calculations, allocations, and investor-specific reporting obligations


• Prepare waterfall, carried interest, and management fee calculations and review investor capital accounts


• Calculate and report fund performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, DPI, net and gross returns)


• Produce financial statements, quarterly and supplemental investor reporting, and capital account statements


• Respond to investor inquiries and ad hoc requests in partnership with investor relations, and prepare ad hoc reports and analysis


• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate bookings across multiple funds, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and performing variance analysis


• Reconcile cash and balance sheet accounts and prepare partnership expense analysis


• Prepare wires for underlying fund capital calls, fund expenses, and investor distributions


• Lead the annual audit and monitor deadlines, and work with external tax and audit advisors


• Partner with investment, legal, investor relations, and corporate teams on new deals and ongoing needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


• 3-8 years of fund accounting, fund finance, and financial reporting experience with real estate funds


• Working knowledge of partnership agreements, waterfalls, investor capital accounts, and fund performance metrics


• Experience preparing financial statements, investor reporting, and managing audits


• Advanced Excel skills


• CPA with a combination of public accounting and private industry experience preferred
