Financial Reporting Manager

Our client, a top tier asset management firm, is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting to join their team in Stamford, CT. This role focuses on SEC reporting for publicly traded vehicles for the firm, including '40 Act funds and others. Responsibilities also include leading quarterly close cycles, managing expense allocations, enhancing internal controls, and delivering consolidated financial results.

Responsibilities as the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Close & Reporting Oversight: Lead quarterly close processes, including consolidated financials, reconciliations, and SEC reporting packages.


• Process Optimization: Strengthen internal controls and drive improvements to financial reporting systems and procedures.


• Strategic Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Fund Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Operations to ensure data integrity.


• Project Leadership: Manage special projects tied to financial reporting, system enhancements, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications for the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.


• Certification: CPA is required.


• Experience: 7-10 years of financial reporting/SEC reporting experience, ideally with a Big 4 background and exposure to alternative asset management or fund structures.


• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with hands-on experience in general ledger and financial reporting systems.
