Job Description

FabTech-IGM — Business Development Manager

FabTech-IGM, headquartered in Libertyville, IL, is a leading vertically integrated contract

manufacturer specializing in the engineering and production of parts and assemblies for OEM

customers across:

• Data Center & Critical Power

• Industrial Automation & Controls

• Clean & Renewable Energy

• Public Safety & Communications

• Medical & Life Sciences

With metal fabrication, printed circuit board assembly, high-level assembly, and global supply

chain sourcing all under one roof, we help customers bring products to market faster and more

efficiently.

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth

across these markets. This is a hunter role focused on developing new customer relationships,

securing new accounts, and expanding FabTech-IGM's presence in new markets. The ideal

candidate has a proven record selling to OEMs, building sales pipelines, and implementing CRM

processes that support long-term growth.

This position can be based in Libertyville, IL or Las Vegas, NV and requires regular travel to meet

prospective customers, attend industry events, and support business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

• Coordinate with SDR/lead-generation resources to build target account, product, and

contact lists, then run modern outreach to create meetings and generate RFQs.

• Self-source new opportunities through proactive prospecting and outbound effort within

the defined markets.

Deal Execution & Closing

• Personally own and advance opportunities through the sales process — building

relationships with key decision-makers, driving deal velocity, resolving obstacles, and

closing.

• Coordinate closely with sales leadership to prioritize prospecting, quoting, and costing

activity by size, probability, and fit — and eliminate time spent on low-probability or

misaligned work.

• Convert RFQs to orders by communicating and reducing external friction factors to win

the business.

Pipeline & Market Growth

• Build and maintain a healthy, well-qualified pipeline through disciplined, proactive

business development.

• Increase FabTech-IGM's revenue with new customers in the defined markets.

Process & CRM Discipline

• Follow the standardized, stage-gated sales process — maintaining consistent opportunity

qualification, deal progression, and win/loss discipline.

• Own CRM (HubSpot) hygiene — keeping data, activity, cadence performance, and

forecasts accurate, current, and reliable.

Tools & Representation

• Leverage AI and modern sales tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, LinkedIn prospecting tools,

Canva) to increase prospecting reach, personalize outreach at scale, and accelerate

execution.

• Represent FabTech-IGM at trade shows, customer meetings, industry conferences, and

networking events.

Qualifications

Experience

• 3–5 years in business development, sales, or account acquisition within FabTech-IGM's

target OEM markets or related contract-manufacturing environments.

• Demonstrated success opening new accounts and growing revenue through direct

prospecting, cold outreach, and relationship development.

• Experience selling into OEMs and sophisticated customers.

Hunter Profile

• Self-motivated with a proactive, hunter-oriented approach — creating opportunities

through outbound effort rather than waiting for inbound.

• Track record of building new-customer revenue through repeatable, process-driven

prospecting and follow-through.

Skills & Tools

• Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and sales reporting tools.

• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, and quality to support customer

needs and close opportunities.

Education & Travel

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred (relevant

experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

• Willingness to travel 25–50% to support customer development and business growth.

considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, physical or mental

disability, veteran status, or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. circuit board assembly, high-level assembly, and global supply chain sourcing all under one roof, we help customers bring products to market faster and more efficiently.
