Distribution Supervisor


Shift: 2nd Shift (Wednesday - Saturday)

Industry: Third-Party Logistics (3PL)


Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Distribution Supervisor to lead operations on our 2nd shift team within a large, growing 3PL distribution environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, driving productivity, maintaining safety and quality standards, and developing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have experience leading warehouse personnel in a fast-paced distribution setting and a passion for continuous improvement.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead warehouse associates in receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, and inventory operations
  • Drive productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to meet customer and operational goals
  • Monitor daily workflow and staffing levels to ensure service expectations are achieved
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a positive work environment
  • Conduct performance evaluations, employee training, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions to improve processes
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate results to management
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle count activities
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and operational execution


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in distribution, warehousing, logistics, or 3PL operations
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Experience managing performance metrics and productivity goals
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
