Overview

In this role you will lead the BU finance function and serve as the primary finance partner to the General Manager. You will drive financial reporting, planning, strategic and operations finance, and ensure a strong control environment to support sales growth and margin expansion. You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders, manage complex financial matters, and lead the M&A and incentive programs while delivering actionable insights. This position blends hands-on work with leadership in a matrix organization and offers impact across planning, pricing, governance, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Own the BU P&L and validate results, socializing performance with the GM and BU leadership
  • Lead monthly financial performance reviews and ensure GAAP compliance and policy alignment
  • Own annual plans, monthly forecasts, and long-term strategic financial plans; coordinate with FP&A teams
  • Act as liaison between BU finance and operations; drive price, cost, and productivity initiatives
  • Develop financial models to evaluate strategic projects and affected manufacturing/distribution facilities
  • Oversee inventory revaluation, excess/obsolete inventory reporting, and E&O reduction efforts
  • Model capital investments, NPI, make-or-buy decisions, logistics costs, and pricing decisions
  • Lead M&A finance activities including target selection, due diligence, valuation, and integration
  • Own commercial finance programs (incentives, rebates, commissions) and align with growth goals
  • Monitor orders, backlog, and perform profitability analyses by product line and customer
  • Perform market segmentation and portfolio analysis; support strategic bids and quotes
  • Ensure compliance and internal controls, oversee SOX, audits, asset tracking, and certifications
  • Provide leadership in a matrix organization and promote continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration
  • Represent finance in strategic initiatives and develop policies and systems for the BU
Key requirements
  • 10-15 years of progressive finance experience in a publicly traded manufacturing environment
  • Solid US GAAP accounting and financial reporting background with forecasting experience
  • 5+ years in a financial leadership role with direct team management
  • Strong financial modeling expertise
  • Experience with SAP (finance and cost modules), Blackline, and OneStream (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multi-currency reporting and international operations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines
