Business Development Executive – Service Providers

The opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Executive to grow subscriptions within the service-provider market.

You will have a clearly defined sales patch focused on organisations that sell services into the insurance industry and need strong market knowledge to advise clients, identify opportunities, and build relationships.

Your primary prospects will include:

• Law firms


• Management and specialist consultancies


• Executive-search and recruitment firms


• InsurTech companies


• Other professional-service and technology businesses

What you’ll do

• Identify service providers that need insurance knowledge to sell effectively, advise clients, or develop their market presence


• Build a targeted pipeline, with an initial emphasis on law firms


• Reach prospective customers through phone, email, LinkedIn, events, and referrals


• Speak with partners, consultants, recruiters, founders, business-development leaders, and other decision-makers


• Understand each prospect’s commercial priorities and demonstrate the value of timely insurance-market intelligence


• Qualify inbound enquiries from organisations within your assigned segment


• Arrange and conduct discovery meetings and product demonstrations


• Manage opportunities from initial contact through to close


• Maintain accurate account, activity, and ownership records in the CRM


• Work with marketing colleagues on campaigns for priority service-provider audiences


• Meet agreed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets

What we’re looking for

• Some experience in sales, business development, recruitment, customer service, or another commercial role


• The confidence to approach and build relationships with senior professionals


• Strong written and verbal communication


• Curiosity about insurance, professional services, and B2B markets


• The ability to understand how different customers use specialist information


• A structured approach to prospecting and pipeline management


• Resilience, commercial drive, and a willingness to learn


• Good judgement regarding account ownership and sales-territory boundaries

In your first year, you will:

• Develop a strong understanding of the insurance service-provider market


• Establish a repeatable prospecting approach across the assigned audiences


• Build a substantial pipeline of law firms and other professional-service businesses


• Consistently convert qualified opportunities into new customers


• Maintain clear account ownership without conflicting with adjacent sales territories


• Demonstrate readiness to manage larger accounts and more complex sales opportunities
