Junior System Engineer

Role Description The Junior System Engineer role is a full-time remote position responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal systems and infrastructure used to deliver facilities management services. Day-to-day activities include assisting with systems engineering tasks, monitoring system performance, performing routine system administration, and providing technical support to internal teams. The role involves troubleshooting system issues, participating in systems design and improvement initiatives, and documenting configurations and procedures. The Junior System Engineer will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operation of technology platforms that support service delivery. This role requires proactive problem-solving, clear communication, and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Systems Engineering and Systems Design, with the ability to assist in implementing and improving technical solutions.


• Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for hardware, software, and network-related issues in a production environment.


• Basic to intermediate System Administration skills, including user management, system monitoring, patching, and configuration.


• Relevant technical qualification or degree/diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Familiarity with infrastructure and facilities-related systems (e.g., building management systems, HVAC controls, power monitoring) is beneficial.


• Ability to work remotely, manage time effectively, and collaborate with distributed teams using digital tools.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to documentation and process adherence.


• Good written and verbal communication skills and an eagerness to learn from senior engineers and continuous professional development.
