Accounting Manager
Our client, a well-established real estate investment, development, and management firm, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its growing finance team in New York City.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and cash management
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Partner with development and operational teams to support business initiatives and financial decision-making
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and compliance activities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Real estate accounting experience required
- Real estate development experience highly preferred
- Strong understanding of hard costs, soft costs, capital expenditures (CapEx), and capital drawdowns
- Experience working within multi-entity and intercompany accounting environments
- Job costing experience is a significant plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities
- CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred
