Accounting Assistant

Location: Knoxville, TN (Onsite)- West

We're partnering with a respected company seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day accounting operations and help keep the financial side of the business running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Process invoices, payments, and vendor communications
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Support month-end close activities and general ledger maintenance
• Enter and maintain accurate financial data in the accounting system
• Assist with expense reporting and account reconciliations
• Prepare reports and spreadsheets for management review
• Help maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team as needed

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related experience
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Sage accounting software xevrcyc is highly preferred
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Sage 100, Sage 300, or other ERP/accounting systems is strongly desired
• Previous experience working in a corporate accounting, manufacturing, construction, healthcare, or professional services environment is a plus
