Accounting Manager

Financial services client looking to bring on an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting process.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, internal controls and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support electronic trading activities, including settlement, clearing, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and/or review journal entries and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in accordance with accounting standards.
• Perform in-depth variance analysis, monitor key drivers in revenue and expenses, and prepare monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures, working closely with developers and other functional teams, to further automate and enhance the robustness of the firm's financial operations. xevrcyc
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in electronic trading platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of accounting experience, must have experience within financial services industry
• Big 4 or Public Accounting experience in past or current role required
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work with senior leadership and work cross-functionally
