Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage the company's full-cycle accounting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including workflow management, reconciliations, and process improvements.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper recording of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Manage cash flow reporting and monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners as needed.

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Analyze financial results and explain key variances from budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and reporting packages for leadership.

Job Cost Reporting & Analysis

  • Maintain and monitor job costing systems to ensure accurate allocation of labor, materials, and overhead costs.
  • Analyze job profitability and manufacturing performance.
  • Review production costs and identify trends impacting margins.
  • Develop and distribute job cost reports to operations and ownership.
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to improve cost controls and operational efficiencies.

Business Analysis & Ownership Reporting

  • Serve as a key financial advisor to the ownership group.
  • Develop monthly management reporting packages that provide insights into profitability, cash flow, operational performance, and key business metrics.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and process improvement.
  • Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and capital investment analysis.
  • Create financial models and business analyses to support decision-making and long-term planning.

Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including AP and AR personnel.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency through automation and best practices.
  • Support implementation and optimization of accounting and ERP systems.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and job costing principles.
  • Experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. xevrcyc
