This is a mid-senior level HR Generalist or Business Partner role for a small organization in Tampa, FL. This role will support employees, managers, and leaders across a growing healthcare EHR software organization. This role combines hands-on HR operations with employee relations, compliance, immigration support, workforce planning, engagement, and day-to-day partnership with the business. This is not a Recruiting or Talent Acquisition role, but more HR Operations based.


  • Partner with People leadership and business leaders on HR operations, employee relations, policy administration, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Conduct employee investigations and manage employee accommodation requests, including intake, documentation, fact-finding, coordination, recommendations, and follow-up.
  • Support employment-based immigration, visa sponsorship, USCIS filings and notices, I-9 and work authorization activities, and coordination with immigration counsel.
  • Support employee planning, reductions where necessary, selection documentation, manager preparation, and employee communications.
  • Lead new-hire orientation and onboarding while also supporting leave administration, workers’ compensation, benefits questions, and other employee lifecycle processes.
  • Administer employee engagement surveys and assist with succession planning, talent reviews, development planning, internal mobility, and leadership follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records; provide confidential employee and manager guidance; monitor employment-law compliance; and improve HR workflows, reporting, and documentation.


Required Qualifications

  • Five to Seven years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience, preferably in technology, SaaS, healthcare, EHR, or another regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting employee investigations and administering employee accommodation requests with sound judgment, discretion, and strong documentation.
  • Working knowledge of employment-based immigration, visa sponsorship, USCIS activities, I-9 and work authorization requirements, and coordination with immigration counsel or external providers.
  • Experience supporting layoffs or workforce reductions, including planning, documentation, manager guidance, employee communications, and separation activities.
  • Experience developing or managing new-hire orientations and onboarding programs, employee engagement surveys, survey analysis, and follow-up action planning.
  • Experience assisting with succession planning, talent reviews, career development, workforce planning, or related talent-management programs.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HRIS and Microsoft Office systems, reporting, project management, confidentiality, and communication; bachelor’s degree and PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Must be able to work hybrid in the office - Tampa, Florida.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting a healthcare, EHR, health-tech, SaaS, or other highly regulated organization.
  • Experience with HR case-management tools, HRIS reporting, Timesheet software, compensation survey resources, Jira or Confluence, and employee engagement platforms.
  • Experience partnering with executives and managers during periods of organizational growth, leadership change, transformation, or restructuring.
