About the Opportunity

The Navy Reserve is seeking experienced professionals with backgrounds in supply chain, logistics, operations, business, finance, procurement, transportation, and related fields to pursue a commission as a Supply Corps Officer.


Supply Corps Officers help enable Navy readiness by leading and managing critical functions across logistics, acquisition, financial management, inventory, contracting, and operational support. This is an opportunity to apply established civilian and military leadership experience in a mission-driven organization while maintaining connection to your professional career and community.


What You Will Do

As a Navy Reserve Supply Corps Officer, you may contribute to mission readiness through work involving:

  • Supply chain and logistics planning
  • Resource and financial management
  • Procurement, contracting, and inventory accountability
  • Operational logistics and contingency support
  • Leadership of Sailors and cross-functional teams
  • Collaboration with Navy commands and joint partners


Reserve participation includes scheduled drill periods and annual training; mobilization may be possible based on billet, unit, specialty, and Navy requirements.


Basic Qualifications

Applicants will be evaluated under the current Navy Reserve Supply Corps Direct Commission Officer program requirements. Baseline requirements include:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Eligibility for worldwide assignment


Business and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics degrees are preferred but not required. Leadership experience in civilian employment, military service, or the community is highly valued. Final eligibility and selection are determined through the official Navy application and selection process.


Ideal Backgrounds

We are especially interested in professionals with demonstrated leadership and experience in:

  • Supply chain, distribution, or transportation
  • Operations, manufacturing, or program management
  • Procurement, sourcing, contracting, or vendor management
  • Finance, accounting, budgeting, or resource management
  • Data analytics, systems, or enterprise operations
  • Prior military logistics or supply experience
