Robotic Surgical First Assistant CSFA or CSA | Washington, DC

An established surgical first assistant group is looking for a CSFA or CSA in Washington, DC to join its robotic surgery team. You will cover robotic cases in OB/GYN, urology and general surgery. Cases will be performed at one facility.

The Role

• Provide first-assist support during robotic cases in OB/GYN, urology and general surgery, with the opportunity to assist in orthopedics and neurosurgery if desired.


• Robotic da Vinci and laparoscopic cases. Case mix to include but not limited to: hysterectomy, fibroid removal, urethral sling placement, sacrocolpopexy, and pelvic reconstructive cases.


• Expect a consistent case mix and a stable weekly schedule.

Schedule

• 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts available.


• Flexible weekly scheduling. You provide your desired hours and daily availability.


• Shared 1:6 call rotation with team members at a Level 2 trauma center, with overtime and standby pay.


• One hospital in Washington, DC.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate of $60-$75 based on experience.


• Time and a half for hours over 40 per week.


• Quarterly bonus opportunity based on utilization.


• Health insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO and malpractice coverage for team members averaging 20+ hours per week.


• Relocation stipend and sign-on bonus offered.


• 1099 PRN arrangements also considered.

*First assistants here move into management roles over time, so there is opportunity for upward mobility within the group.

What We're Looking For

• Active CSFA or current CSA credential with an active DC license or eligibility


• First-assist experience with the da Vinci robotic system and laparoscopic cases.


• Experience across OB/GYN, urology and general surgery.


• Comfort working as the first assistant alongside the operating surgeon.
