Now Hiring: Senior Accountant | Hybrid Opportunity

Are you an accounting professional with insurance industry experience looking to join a growing and stable organization? We are seeking a Accounting Supervisor to join a collaborative finance team where you'll have the opportunity to contribute across both GAAP and statutory accounting while supporting a dynamic and evolving business environment.

Location: Western Suburbs of Chicago

Schedule: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)

Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
• Support financial reporting and compliance requirements
• Work within both GAAP and statutory accounting environments
• Partner with internal stakeholders on accounting and reporting initiatives
• Assist with audits, regulatory reporting, and process improvement projects
• Support insurance accounting activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including reinsurance functions when needed

Requirements

Must-Haves

• 3+ years of accounting experience within an insurance company
• Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance accounting experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work effectively in both GAAP and statutory accounting environments
• Strong general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting experience

Nice-to-Haves

• CPA or CPA-track candidate
• Experience with Microsoft GP or Prospero
• Exposure to insurance reporting and/or coordination with reinsurance teams
