Design Engineer

LHH Recruitment Solutions has an opening for a Design Engineer for our client in the Frederick, MD area. As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in our strategy to automate configured-to-order products and reduce lead times. You'll join a collaborative engineering team during a period of transition and growth, with opportunities to shape the future of our product lines and manufacturing processes.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000

As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in our strategy to automate configured-to-order products and reduce lead times. You'll join a collaborative engineering team during a period of transition and growth, with opportunities to shape the future of our product lines and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CAD models for HVAC and related products, focusing on automation and scalability.
• Apply advanced parametric modeling techniques to support the company's automation and product configuration strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, R&D) to ensure manufacturability and efficiency in design.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design and manufacturing.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro/E, or similar).
• Strong understanding of parametric modeling and its application in automated design workflows.
• Knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated practical CAD application.
