Position Summary
BILLY Footwear is looking for an organized, motivated, and curious Sales Support Coordinator to join our growing sales team. This is an early-career opportunity for someone interested in building a career in sales, account management, sales operations, or the footwear and consumer products industry.
This role is much more than administrative support. You'll take ownership of key processes that help our sales organization operate successfully-from coordinating product samples and maintaining customer information to supporting wholesale accounts, preparing sales materials, and helping the team track opportunities and results.
You'll work directly with Sales Leadership and gain hands-on exposure to wholesale and national retail accounts while learning how products move from our organization into the marketplace. We're looking for someone who wants responsibility, enjoys solving problems, and is excited to learn and grow within the business.
What You’ll Own
- Sales Sample Program: Own the organization, tracking, preparation, and shipment of sales samples for customer meetings, presentations, and trade shows.
- POP & Retail Marketing Materials: Own the organization, inventory, and distribution of BILLY point-of-purchase and retail marketing materials, including catalogs, slat wall branding, window decals, and other in-store assets. Track inventory and coordinate materials for wholesale partners based on their needs and eligibility.
- Sales CRM & Account Information: Help ensure Pipedrive and customer records are accurate, current, and actionable for the sales team.
- New Account & Order Coordination: Support new wholesale account setup, item setup, product information, order entry, and required documentation from initial setup through launch.
- Sales Team Coordination: Help keep customer follow-ups, sales materials, reporting, meeting action items, and important deadlines organized and moving forward.
- Customer Experience: Serve as a reliable point of contact for basic wholesale customer needs and coordinate internally to make sure requests are addressed quickly and professionally.
What You’ll Learn
- How wholesale and national retail accounts operate within the footwear industry.
- Account management, customer communication, and relationship building.
- CRM and sales pipeline management.
- Sales reporting, forecasting, and understanding business performance.
- Product launches, seasonal selling, trade shows, and customer presentations.
- Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Customer Service, and Finance.
Growth & Career Development
This role is designed to provide a strong foundation for someone beginning a career in sales or sales operations. As you develop your knowledge of our products, customers, systems, and sales process, there may be opportunities to take on increased responsibility in areas such as:
Sales Support Coordinator → Account Development & Customer Onboarding / Sales Operations Specialist → E-Commerce & DTC → Marketing & Brand Support
Career growth will be based on demonstrated performance, including ownership of responsibilities, accuracy and follow-through, customer communication, understanding of the business, initiative, and the ability to independently manage increasingly complex projects and accounts.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable learning new technology and systems; experience with Excel, PowerPoint, or CRM platforms is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.
- Curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions and learn.
- Comfortable working collaboratively while gradually taking on greater independent responsibility.
- Previous retail, customer service, internship, campus leadership, or sales experience is helpful but not required.
- Interest in footwear, consumer products, retail, sales, or account management is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days: Learn BILLY products, customers, systems and sales processes; become comfortable managing samples, customer information and routine sales support responsibilities.
By 6 Months: Independently own core sales support processes, consistently meet deadlines, communicate confidently with internal teams and customers, and proactively identify what the sales team needs.
By 12 Months: Demonstrate a strong understanding of BILLY's wholesale business, take ownership of increasingly complex projects and account support, and begin identifying areas of the sales organization where you'd like to continue developing.
