Ur-Energy is a uranium mining company. Our Lost Creek operation produces uranium using in-situ recovery (ISR), and we're hiring a Journeyman Electrician to keep our wellfields, processing plant, and site facilities running safely and reliably.

What You'll Do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across the site, including wellfields, the processing facility, offices, and support buildings

• Connect power lines to wellfield transformers and motor control centers (MCCs) to bring new production areas online

• Wire and connect header houses, instrumentation, low-voltage systems, MCCs, and PLC panels

• Install and maintain medium-voltage (up to 34.5 kV) overhead and underground power systems

• Diagnose equipment failures using test equipment, and perform circuit and continuity testing

• Inspect systems for hazards and code compliance, and advise management when equipment is unsafe to operate

• Perform basic PLC, DCS, and VFD programming related to electrical maintenance and installation

• Plan wiring layouts and installations to meet job specifications and Wyoming electrical and safety codes

• Specify and recommend electrical materials, and work with vendors on orders

• Communicate project needs and safety requirements to supervisors and coworkers

• Respond to off-hours call-outs at Lost Creek

What You Bring

• Journeyman Electrician license or higher (must be kept current while employed)

• Residential, commercial, and industrial electrical experience

• Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and VFD systems and instrumentation

• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record

• Comfortable using a computer for procurement, documentation, and maintenance tasks

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to read and follow drawings, diagrams, and written instructions

• Solid math skills, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Includes outdoor work in all Wyoming weather conditions

• Regularly lift 25 lbs., frequently 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

• Frequent climbing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, with occasional work at heights

• Exposure to energized equipment, moving machinery, loud noise, fumes, and chemicals

• May need to wear a respirator

• This is a uranium facility, so there is potential exposure to low-level radiation

• Must follow all company safety policies and applicable electrical codes
