Role Description The Dental Hygienist is a part-time, on-site role based at Demont Dental in Delmont, PA. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing dental cleanings and prophylaxis, assessing oral health, documenting findings, and supporting the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease. The role involves educating patients on proper hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment plans in collaboration with the dentist. The Dental Hygienist will follow infection control protocols, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a positive, efficient clinical workflow while delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support comprehensive patient treatment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including routine cleanings and preventive procedures.
  • Experience assessing and managing Periodontal Disease as part of an integrated care plan.
  • Active state license as a Dental Hygienist in Pennsylvania; graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards, OSHA regulations, and best practices in clinical safety.
  • Effective communication and patient education skills, with a calm, professional chairside manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with dentists and support staff and manage time efficiently in a clinical setting.
  • CPR certification and familiarity with electronic dental records systems are preferred.
