Role Responsibilities: (what they will be doing)

Business Process Discovery & Documentation

  • Document current-state and future-state business processes supporting BTAS and related operations.
  • Lead discovery sessions with business users, operations, technology teams, data partners, and third-party vendors.
  • Create cross-functional workflow and swimlane diagrams using Microsoft Visio or similar tools.
  • Identify undocumented processes, information gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for process improvement.


Technical, Data & Integration Analysis

  • Understand the application ecosystem, architecture, interfaces, integrations, and document repositories.
  • Document source data, inbound/outbound exchanges, connectivity methods, transformation points, and downstream consumers.
  • Trace data lineage and clarify data ownership, business rules, reconciliation processes, dependencies, and exception handling.
  • Partner with architects, developers, integration teams, testers, and platform specialists to translate technical details into clear process and system documentation.


Requirements & Product Support

  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and technical documentation.
  • Support backlog refinement, prioritization, dependency management, and delivery activities using Broadcom Rally / CA Agile Central.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, SMEs, architects, developers, testing teams, and vendors.
  • Maintain organized documentation and knowledge repositories to reduce reliance on tribal knowledge.


Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

  • Independently identify and engage business and technical stakeholders to resolve questions and documentation gaps.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, walkthroughs, and working sessions.
  • Ask probing questions and challenge assumptions to ensure processes, requirements, and technical dependencies are fully understood.
  • Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences: (Vendor should not submit any candidate that does not have these skills/prior experience.)

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Product Owner, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong experience documenting complex business processes and supporting technical components.
  • Ability to independently lead discovery and requirements elicitation.
  • Experience analyzing application integrations, APIs, file transfers, data exchanges, and system dependencies.
  • Experience documenting data lineage, source systems, connectivity, data ownership, and downstream consumers.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Visio, including cross-functional workflows and swimlane diagrams.
  • Experience creating functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data flow documentation.
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery environment and using Rally / CA Agile Central.
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, written communication, and stakeholder management skills.


Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences:(Hiring Manager DOES NOT require these skills/ prior experience. However, candidates with any of these will be looked at first.)

  • Financial services, banking, trust operations, accounting systems, asset servicing, or corporate trust experience.
  • Large-scale application modernization or platform transformation experience.
  • Salesforce experience, including platform capabilities, objects, data models, workflows, and integrations.
  • MuleSoft experience, including API-led connectivity, integration flows, enterprise integration patterns, and data mapping.
  • IBM FileNet experience with content repositories, document lifecycle, metadata, workflow, retention, and integrations.
  • Experience working with internal/external data providers and vendor-managed applications.
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, file-based integrations, SQL, SharePoint, cloud-hosted applications, and IAM concepts.
