L/S Analyst - Business Services

A well-established investment firm is seeking a Long/Short Equity Analyst to join its investment team, with a focus on the Business Services sector.

The firm operates a market-neutral equity strategy and is looking for an investor who can contribute directly to the research and investment process. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys fundamental, bottoms-up investing and wants to work in a rigorous, research-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental research on companies across the Business Services landscape


• Develop differentiated investment theses and identify attractive long and short opportunities


• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks


• Perform industry, company, competitive, and management analysis


• Monitor existing positions and continuously evaluate catalysts, risks, and changing fundamentals


• Generate actionable investment ideas and present recommendations to the broader investment team


• Work closely with senior investors throughout the research and portfolio-construction process

Ideal Background:

• Buyside investment experience is required, ideally within a fundamental L/S, market-neutral, or similarly research-intensive strategy


• Strong experience analyzing Business Services companies and related subsectors


• Demonstrated ability to independently develop investment theses


• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental research skills


• Comfortable evaluating both long and short opportunities


• Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented


• Strong written and verbal communication skills
