Trading Systems Business Analyst

Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Trading Systems Business Analyst position for our client.

Location: Piscataway, NJ
Duration: 12 months

Duties:

• Analyze and document trading system requirements, workflows, and front-to-back trade lifecycle processes.

• Support trade capture, pricing, position management, and trading operations.

• Partner with traders, quants, developers, risk managers, and business stakeholders to define requirements and solutions.

• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.

• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test execution, defect resolution, and release validation.

• Provide production support for pricing breaks, connectivity issues, booking discrepancies, and trading system incidents.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and production releases.

Skills:

• Trading systems and capital markets domain knowledge.

• Strong understanding of financial products and trade lifecycle processes.

• SQL and advanced Excel.

• Python or similar scripting/programming experience.

• Business requirements analysis, workflow analysis, UAT, testing, and production support.

• Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience:

• Experience as a Business Analyst supporting trading systems, capital markets, investment banking, or financial services.

• Experience working with traders, quants, developers, risk teams, and technology stakeholders.

• Experience with trade capture, pricing, position management, and front-to-back trading workflows.

• Experience supporting UAT, functional testing, releases, and production environments.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $145,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
