Direct Counsel is seeking a Business & Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience handling business and commercial litigation matters, including experience in California state courts. Federal court clerkship experience is a plus.

Qualifications:
At least 2 years of business and commercial litigation experience.
California state court experience required.
California Bar admission required.
Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 firm experience preferred.
Federal court clerkship experience is a plus.

Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
Manage and support complex business and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Develop case strategies, analyze factual and legal issues, and assess litigation risks and opportunities.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, memoranda, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents.
Conduct and defend depositions, witness interviews, and fact investigations, as appropriate based on experience.
Prepare witnesses, experts, and clients for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
Participate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and settlement negotiations.
Manage discovery, including document review, production, privilege analysis, and e-discovery.
Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive, practical, and high-quality legal services.
Collaborate with attorneys, clients, experts, opposing counsel, and business professionals to advance litigation strategy.
Monitor developments in applicable laws, judicial decisions, and procedural rules.
Participate in professional development, firm initiatives, pro bono work, and community engagement.
Compensation: $225,000-$390,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
This is a hybrid position combining remote and in-office work.
