Employment Litigation Associate (5-7 Years)
Midtown NYC Office
Salary: $275K – $315K
Hybrid Schedule: 2 remote days per week
Job Summary:
National Law Firm is seeking a mid-level Employment Associate with 5-7 years of experience to advise employers on workplace compliance issues and represent clients in a wide range of employment disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys a mix of counseling, drafting, and litigation responsibilities.
What You'll Do:
Advise employers on employment law compliance, risk management, and workplace best practices.
Draft employee handbooks, policies, and employment-related agreements.
Counsel clients on wage and hour compliance, paid sick leave, discrimination, retaliation, and emerging workplace issues, including AI-related employment concerns.
Represent employers in state and federal court litigation, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
Prepare and argue motions, conduct depositions, manage discovery, and develop case strategy.
Draft responses to agency charges and position statements before federal and state agencies.
Conduct witness interviews and workplace investigations.
Draft and negotiate employment contracts, restrictive covenant agreements, and severance agreements.
What You'll Bring:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice in New York.
5-7 years of employment law counseling and litigation experience.
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
Experience advising employers on federal, state, and local employment law compliance.
Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills and a practical, client-focused approach.
