Accounting Supervisor
We are recruiting for an Accounting Supervisor to join a large, highly respected global organization in downtown Chicago. This is an excellent step-up opportunity for a strong Senior Accountant or early-career Manager who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities while expanding their experience beyond traditional accounting.
The position combines financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, providing an opportunity to develop a much broader finance skill set. You will work closely with leadership and teams throughout the organization, analyze financial performance, participate in the annual planning process, and oversee and develop accounting staff.

What You'll Do
- Play an active role in the organization's annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Prepare and analyze financial reports used by management to evaluate performance and make business decisions
- Perform variance analysis, account review and financial analysis to identify trends and explain results
- Complete ad hoc financial analyses and special projects for leadership
- Review general ledger activity and evaluate the accuracy and appropriate treatment of financial transactions
- Build and maintain sophisticated Excel-based analyses, schedules and reporting tools
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and overall efficiency
- Partner with departments throughout the organization, serving as a resource on financial and accounting matters
- Manage the day-to-day activities and workload of accounting team members
- Review staff work and ensure deadlines, quality standards and department objectives are consistently met
- Coach and develop team members while providing ongoing feedback and training
What We're Looking For
5 to 7 years of accounting experience in public accounting or a large organization
GPA of 3.2/4.0 Minimum
