Role Description
Our client, a long-established, family-owned distributor and installer in Summerville, SC, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for the business. This is a full-time, on-site position offering the opportunity to work closely with ownership in a hands-on accounting role.
The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Additional responsibilities include coordinating payroll and related reporting, working with outside tax professionals, assisting with insurance and benefits administration, and supporting accounting for related real estate entities.
This position is in office five days per week in Summerville, SC.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on accounting experience, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.
- Solid understanding of journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliations.
- Experience coordinating payroll and related reporting.
- QuickBooks experience required.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple accounting responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with ownership and outside professional partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
