Executive Director of Human Resources

A prominent leader in the regional senior living and healthcare sector is seeking a strategic and forward thinking Human Resources Director to join their leadership team near the Tipp City and Vandalia area. This organization is a non profit industry leader dedicated to providing compassionate, person centered care across a variety of residential and home based health services.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will play a critical role in driving the mission of the organization by ensuring excellence in all people operations. You will be a systems thinker capable of developing and executing strategies that enhance the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to long term retention and professional development. This role requires a collaborative leader who can manage a large hourly workforce while maintaining strict compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and lead initiatives focused on employee relations, specifically targeting the recruitment and retention of a large hourly staff.

Oversee and refine core HR systems including performance management, safety protocols, and employee recognition programs.

Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads, providing coaching on employee selection, performance reviews, and corrective actions.

Ensure all personnel files and documentation are audit ready for state health department surveys.

Stay current on industry trends and employment legislation including FMLA, ADA, and EEOC to ensure total organizational compliance.

Direct and evaluate staff development and training programs to foster internal growth.

Manage and mentor the local Human Resources department staff.

Analyze workforce trends and data to create proactive action plans.

Required Qualifications and Skills

A bachelors degree in Human Resources or a closely related field.

At least 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources management.

3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Exceptional communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

High level of detail orientation and proficiency with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.

Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations.

Preferred Experience

Background in healthcare, manufacturing, or similar industries with a large hourly employee base.

Professional certifications such as SHRM SCP, SPHR, or PHR.
